Day 1 as roots of empathy instructor of some twenty 7 (some almost 8) yr olds! Eager beavers and excited to meet baby flora, who’ll hopefully be coming in next week! So full of ideas and questions! The class voted, and named our baby doll, Max! Silly me trying to think I could engage them more than Max when I actually considered passing him around! But they were keeners, listeners, and participators. An absolute delight! Wonder what this journey would’ve been with kindergartners - guess i’ll wait to find out another year! Blissful spending an afternoon with these kids! And yay for teacher Ms. Pauline for helping me manage the excitement! For now - Ms. Wig signing off with the Roots of Empathy goodbye song that definitely stuck around with the kids as the packed up for the day and headed out the door!
